Ven. Hiek Sopheap has been a Buddhist monk for 17 years. Before he became the Executive Director of ABE, he worked in various NGOs addressing issues such as peace-building, children’s issues, HIV/AIDS awareness and advocacy. He is also the assistant of His Holiness Sangarajah Bou Kry, the Supreme Patriarch Dhamayutt Order in Cambodia. His previous works with NGOs and his extensive travels outside the country has given him the experiences and insights in various subjects.

Miss Tara having obtained a joint Honours degree in Comparative Religions and History of Art from Edinburgh University, UK and travelled widely in Asia for her studies, Tara went on to work for the Alliance of Religions and Conservation (ARC), a UK based charity. She established ARC Asia, organising and developing conservation projects with religious communities in Cambodia, Thailand, Laos, Indonesia and Mongolia since 2000. In the process of completing her Masters in Arts Management, she wrote her theses on the Past and a Future for the National Museum of Cambodia, and is now coordinating an Asian Buddhist Network for the World Bank, based in Cambodia. She is also organising international workshops, events, a formalised Sangha Network Website linking Buddhist communities throughout South East Asia dedicated to conservation, as well as overseeing Buddhist conservation projects at both a National and Grassroots level throughout the region.

The Website Coordinator and Designer is Mr Pin Phanna. Phanna has successfully graduated in Bachelor Degree of Computer Science from Information Technology and Management(Cambodia). He has became a Website Coordinator and Designer of Sangha Network of The Association of Buddhists for the Environment (ABE) in June 2007.
